Leaders' Skill Sets
Yesterday, I've answered a question on LinkedIn that I would like to share with you here.
The question was: "What are the skill sets typically shown by those who are leaders as well as those aspire to be leaders?"
Here's my answer:
Two things:
1. Strength
2. Honesty
Yes, only two things!
Leaders are STRONG and HONEST.
Strength is about self mastery and honesty is about relationships mastery.
Strength is about you and honesty is about others.
If you are strong enough and people believe in you then you have it all.
Actions:
1. To increase your strength: develop a clear vision, believe in yourself, increase your self esteem, take bold actions...etc
2. To increase your honesty: be a master communicator, no broken promises, integrity is key, respect others, follow Tony Alessandra's platinum rule that states: "treat others as THEY want to be treated!"
Simple, right?! It only needs some practice.
