Highlights from my Interview with Rick Frishman

On Tuesday, June 10, I was honored to interview Rick Frishman for The Success Avalanche Insiders Club. Rick, the founder of Planned Television Arts, has been one of the leading book publicists in America for over 30 years.

He is the co-author of eight books, including national best-sellers GUERRILLA PUBLICITY and NETWORKING MAGIC. He recently launched the popular four-book series, AUTHOR 101™.
Rick's new book, WHERE'S YOUR WOW? (with co-author Robyn Spizman) was released by McGraw Hill in March 2008.

Here are some highlights from my interview with Rick:

1. You don’t need to be a great writer in order to be a great bestselling author! (During the interview Rick explains in detail a great tactic to help you apply this principle)

2. Write down 101 things you want to do in your life. Don't stop until you reach 101! (Why do you NEED to do that?)

3. Think about what problem you're here to solve. (Why will this change your life?)

4. Everyone needs to start having a Web presence. (Why is it so important?)

5. Find mentors and learn from people who have already DONE it - NOT just selling it!

6. Radio is the easiest way to get FREE publicity. (Rick shares a lot of useful tips on how to get free publicity for you and your business and how to prepare a good publicity kit)

7. When you do business, you MUST answer this question: "Who Cares?"
